Hello! My name is Ms. Echols. I'm a Second Grade teacher at Avondale Elementary School! I will be entering my 3rd year of teaching in the 2017 - 2018 school year. I consider myself lucky to be able to go to a job that I absolutely enjoy! Here are a few interesting facts about myself:
I was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and have been living in Birmingham since 2005! I love animals and have an 8-year-old Shih Tzu named Tucker. I am the youngest of a blended family of one sister and four older brothers. My favorite pastime is reading and my favorite genre is science fiction/fantasy. I am a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I graduated from UAB with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. I also received my Master's from UAB in Education with a dual certification in early childhood and elementary education.
