Second grade is a special time, full of new beginnings, new friends and new learning opportunities. My philosophy towards education is that every child can learn if taught in a way that is conducive to his or her learning style.. My goal for the class is to set a foundation for the creation of lifelong learners. I want to encourage your child to learn how to interact with other students in positive ways and become independent thinkers! I hope that your child is looking forward to a warm, inviting classroom experience.
It is important that your child see you taking an active role in the classroom to lessen their anxiety towards starting this new chapter in their life and to increase their motivation towards school! With that being said, I would like to extend an invitation for you to attend our school’s open house on August 8th, 2017. At the open house, you will be able to meet me, I will give you and your child a tour of the class so that you both can get acclimated, and we can strategize ways in which you can possibly participate in class!

Our classroom rules are as follows:
- Be respectful to yourself, others and school/personal property.
- Follow directions, turn in all assignments complete and on time.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Have a positive attitude and try new things!
- Do your PERSONAL best!
